There are some 530+ Engineering Colleges affiliated to Anna University with about 2.5 lakhs Engineering Seats alloted to counselling each year .

Students who’ve completed HSC / Plus 2 courses may apply for TNEA if they met eligibility criteria which is not that hard .

Who can Apply for TNEA 2020 ?

Any student who’ve following Educational qualification can Apply for TNEA Counselling ie) there’s no entrance test conducted for engineering admission in tamilnadu by anna university .

TNEA Eligibility :

If you’re applying after completing Plus 2 / HSC / Class 12 ? or Diploma Degree or even International Baccalueate Diploma ?

For BC / BCM : Minimum marks of 45%

For MBC / DNC : Minimum marks of 40%

For SC / SCA / ST : Minimum 35% Marks in your Board Exam

For OC : Minimum of 50% marks

TNEA Counselling Procedure :

1. It starts with Anna University issuing Application forms for interested candidates through its offline centres as well as through online .

2. Completely filled-in Application Forms are collected by Anna University within the due date with necessary Documentes enclosed by the candidate .

3. Anna University will scrutinize every TNEA Application forms : Checking Eligibility criteria, Attached documents, anu mis information by candidate .

4. TNEA Random Number will be issued for each applicants which is necessary in order to avoid clashes by candidates with similar cut-off marks . Followed by which TNEA Ranking list is published online.

5. Based on the Ranking Order, candidates are sent with TNEA Counselling call letter through Post .

6. By now, Anna University Engineering Counselling schedule will be published, it begins with Sports persons, followed by Differently abled , General Counselling & finally the Vocational Group counselling.

TNEA Vacancy Updates 2020:

While conducting Engineering Counselling for BE, BTech admissions, Anna University will provide Daily Seat Position Vacancy Updates .

Candidate have to visit & check moving seat positions , you should choose three colleges while appearing for counselling.

If the seat is available from the college you chose, you’ll be awarded, if not , you may have to choose other available colleges from the list .

TNEA College List 2020 :

Anna University will upload updated Engineering Colleges list online to let student know ” How many engineering colleges in Tamilnadu ” & What are their details .

Complete information about an engg college including ” Number of intake seats, Hostel facilities, college area, facilities offered at campus, courses offered, university ranking ,etc.

TNEA Minimum Cut Off Marks :

Soon after release of Tamilnadu Plus 2 results 2020, a student can check his / her Engineering cut off marks.

You need to get a Minimum cut off marks inorder to get seat from Top / Reputed engineering colleges.

Anna University will release TNEA Minimum cut off marks 2020 list which will allow you know ” Last year’s performance on TNEA Counselling “.

TNEA for Other State Students :

TNEA is not only for students from Tamil Nadu alone, if you’re from other state like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala or any other, you may be eligible to apply for tnea 2020.

But Anna University will issue TNEA Application form for other states in the mid June , the counselling will be conducted separately .

Likewise, TNEA for NRI / Foreign Students will also be conducted for B.E  / B.Tech courses at anna university .
