The only option to know if JIO Fiber covers your area is by calling jio customer care.

Because, in Airtel Broadband, they provide list of cities where Airtel broadband is available, but in the case of Jio fiber, there’s no such option to check list of cities where jio fiber service is available.

This is one such big drawback of Jio for not letting know people whether the service is available in their area or not.

Last year in August, Giga Fiber was formally announced, first to employees of Jio then trial based service in limited cities.

As of now, When Jio Giga Fiber commercial operation begins, it will be offered only through Prepaid.

You would be required to recharge Rs.500 monthly to avail 100GB of data.

In future, Jio Giga fiber post paid plans will be announced but there’s no date given.

Update: Jio has no offered one month free Fiber service, followed by which the customer would need to pay monthly tariff payment.

One of the most frequently asked question, will i need to pay anything other than mentioned monthly charge of Rs.500?

Yes you need to.

Rs.4500 security deposit has to be paid when you sign up for Jio Giga service in tamilnadu just like it is elsewhere.

The amount you pay will be refunded when you surrender your connection.

When you sign up for Jio fiber connection, you’ll be given ONT device which is like modem with Wifi feature, so you need to return it when you disconnect jio fiber service.

There’s no Installation Charge.
