Though the number of vacancies are low, a large number of candidates applied for the recruitment.
With scale of Pay of Rs.37,700 to 119500 ( Level 20 ), the eligible candidates were all have applied for their luck.
The written exam to be conducted in two papers, Paper 1 Subject papers in Forenoon and Paper 2 General Studies in the afternoon.
Candidates with required educational qualification were only allowed to register for the recruitment.
Anyone with a degree in Civil Engineering / Town Planning / Architecture / Member of Institute of Architects can apply & so the majority of applicants are those who’ve completed Civil Engineering degree.
Scheme of Exam:
Paper 1 would be for 3 hours, with any one of following subjects
i) Town Planning
ii) Architecture Degree standard
iii) Civil Engineering ( Degree standard )
For a total maximum marks of 300,
Paper 2 Exam:
General Studies with Degree standard questions 75, Aptitude and Mental ability Test – 25, for 2 hours for 200 marks maximum.
Interview Mark is 70
Minimum Qualifying marks for SC/ST/MBC/BC/BCM 171, while for others its 228.
So out of total 570 marks, one requires to score the minimum marks atleast to qualify but depending on the highest marks, the candidates will be selected.
