Thinking of doing P.G degree in Tamilnadu ? Time has come for those who’ve completed U.G degree programmes on various filed of study to apply for TANCET 2018.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test ( TANCET ) as commonly called is an eligibility test conducted by Anna University for admissions into M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan, B.Arch, M.B.A, M.C.A courses.
Students who’ve done final year in B.E Engineering or B.Sc Arts & Science courses may apply for 2018 TANCET exam.
Usually the examination is being conducted in the month of March but till this day there’s no official press release from the govt side regarding the PG Admissions.
More than 50,000 students apply from all parts of the state, through online registration page.
Just like how engineering admissions is conducted, counselling procedures remains same except here candidates will be called based on the merit marks obtained through TANCET entrance exam 2018.
There is decline in total number of students appear for higher studies since last few years.
This is due to lack of job opportunities in the state for those who complete MBA/ME, MTech degree.
But there is also other angle of going for at least lecturer job , which many students consider to take up these PG courses.
But there too many lecturers who work in engineering colleges express concerns over job insecurity and low salary package.
As the demand and interest among engineering profession goes down, it all going to make students more difficult to choose a profession for career.
