In Tamil nadu unemployment rate is growing at huge rate that more than 78.60 lakhs candidates have been registered on tn velai vaaippu portal so far.

As per latest data from Employment Department released in August 31st 2018, the tn velai vaaippu website has got around 80 lakhs of registrants waiting for a govt job.

tn velai vaaippu portal statisticsIt doesn’t mean that this number of registrants are jobless or doing nothing, most of them might be doing jobs in private sector or into doing own businesses but still the registration number is getting higher with each passing year.

Number of Registered Candidates on Velai Vaaippu Website:

  • 18 age / below : 2104654
  • 18-23 college students: 2101353
  • 24-35 age job aspirants: 2746085
  • 36-56 age job aspirants: 1155148
  • 57 age and above: 6547
  • Total: 8113787

Number of differently abled candidates registered for govt jobs in TN are as follows,

  • Male: 83768
  • Female: 43451
  • Total: 127219

So as per official numbers, there are ~80 lakhs, ie) 8 million are expecting or anticipating their luck for a govt job in Tamil Nadu.

Though the number of employment portal registrations climbing high, recruitments conducted by Tamil nadu Public Service Commission has been declining in the last few years.

As more and more e-services are introduced, it simply replaces or reduces human labours or govt expenses into salary pay.

How to overcome this ?

Govt should encourage youngsters do own businesses, provide skill development programmes across different parts of the state, provide loans for those who have Ideas to innovate, encouraging start ups etc.

There are ways which can be simplified by govt in order to reduce number of candidates looking for a govt job. The mood has to change, he/she should not always depend on govt job, instead doing own business individually or along with friends/family with a support from govt would change the face of state of Tamil nadu.

Unemployment rate would drastically change for sure.

But not really the case with TN Govt, as companies are finding it difficult to operate or start their business here due to lot of uneasy in obtaining license, approvals.
